Xiaomi Preparing Next-Gen Redmi G Pro Laptops for 2024

Chinese tech giant Xiaomi is gearing up to launch upgraded versions of its popular Redmi G Pro laptops in 2024, equipped with the latest high-performance processors from Intel and Qualcomm.

The New Redmi G Pro Laptops Will Feature Cutting-Edge Intel Raptor Lake-HX CPUs

According to insider information, Xiaomi plans to configurer its 2024 Redmi G Pro laptop lineup with Intel’s recently announced 14th generation Core i9-14900HX and Core i5-14500HX processors. These new Raptor Lake-HX Refresh chips offer exceptional performance for gaming and creative workloads.

The flagship Xiaomi Redmi G Pro model will likely pack the ultra-fast Core i9-14900HX, a 24 core chip with 8 performance cores, 16 efficiency cores, 32 threads and blistering 5.8 GHz maximum turbo boost speeds. With a max turbo power design of 157W, this CPU delivers desktop-like performance for a laptop.

The more mainstream Redmi G Pro variant is expected to utilize the Core i5-14500HX, no slouch itself with its 14 cores, 20 threads, 4.9 GHz boost clocks and the same 155W cooling capabilities.

Both models will ship with cutting-edge DDR5 memory and Nvidia’s latest GeForce RTX 40 series GPUs for exceptional gaming frame rates.

Thin and Light Redmi G Pro Models Will Also Feature Snapdragon X Elite ARM Chips

In addition to the high-power Intel variants, Xiaomi is also evaluating lower-power Arm-based processors for Redmi G Pro models optimized for portability.

Specifically, leaked reports reveal Xiaomi is already testing thin and light Redmi G Pro laptops running Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon X Elite chips. Built on the brand new Oryon CPU architecture, Snapdragon X Elite promises game-changing performance for Arm-based Windows laptops.

While benchmark results are pending, Qualcomm claims these chips will finally deliver competitive multi-threaded performance against x86 processors from AMD and Intel. If early hype proves accurate, the new Snapdragons could shake up the laptop market in 2024.

Xiaomi Well Positioned to Capitalize on Next-Gen Laptop Platforms

As an established player in the laptop segment, Xiaomi is strategically poised to capitalize on next-generation computing platforms from Intel, Nvidia and Qualcomm. With its engineering expertise and supply chain leverage, expect Xiaomi’s 2024 Redmi G Pros to hit the sweet spot of performance, battery life and affordability.

The looming laptop wars between Intel, AMD and Qualcomm will undoubtedly spawn some groundbreaking designs in 2024. By utilizing the latest silicon in innovative Redmi G Pro models, Xiaomi hopes to win over performance-hungry users seeking desktop-caliber power in a portable form factor.
